Low Protein Fishless Fingers

Ingredients

1x 62g sachet of Taranis Low Protein Fish Substitute

100ml Cold Water

100g Promin Low Protein Breadcrumbs

10g Promin Low Protein Scrambled Egg and Omelette Mix whisked into 50 ml of water

Oil for frying

Method

  1. Add 1 sachet of Taranis Fish Substitute to 100 ml of water and mix with a fork.
  2. Once the mixture has combined, separate into four and roll in your hands to make sausage like shapes, the square off gently using your hands.
  3. Whisk together Promin Scrambled Egg and Omelette Mix and water to make a thick liquid, not quite a paste, but something that resembles a beaten egg.
  4. Very gently, pick up and coat the fish fingers in the egg mixture and add them to the breadcrumbs, the egg mix helps the breadcrumbs stick.
  5. Carefully heat the oil in a pan, just enough to allow the fingers to shallow fry each side for 3 – 4 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Remove from the pan and serve as a snack or as part of a meal.
  7. TOP TIP: These would go great sandwiched between two pieces of Promin Farmhouse Loaf or Promin Fresh White Bread with some crispy salad!
