The Promin brand was developed by Firstplay Dietary Foods from their facility in Stockport, United Kingdom where only low protein products are produced. The Promin brand have and will continue to be proactive thought-leaders in the world of Inborn Errors of Metabolism.

Promin Pasta was launched in 1993 and the range has since developed continuously to meet the demands from patients, parents, and healthcare professionals. Steve Fletcher, founder of Firstplay Dietary Foods, has been in food manufacture for Inborn Errors of Metabolism since 1984 and continues to develop low protein meal solutions, available under the Promin low protein brand. Unfaltering research and development ensure that there is much more to come from the brand and close ties with the communities in which the brand serves allow continuous improvement of the service in which is offered to those communities.

PROMIN LOW PROTEIN FOOD HISTORY

Promin Pasta was launched in 1993 with the Promin range developing in response to demands from patients, parents and dieticians. Steve Fletcher, founder of Firstplay Dietary Foods, has been in PKU food manufacture since 1984 and continues to develop low protein meal solutions, available under the Promin low protein brand. Continual research and development ensures that there is much more to come from Firstplay Dietary Foods. As they continue to rely upon the PKU community for inspiration the low protein recipes and foods will continue to expand.

PROMIN’S DEVELOPMENT

From their 9000 square feet premises, Firstplay Dietary Foods now have 6 packing bays. The team pack the Promin Low Protein products on site, ranging from pasta to burger mix. Promin’s Low Protein production team consists of two manufacturing machines and three blending bays. The team at Firstplay Dietary Foods work especially hard to maintain high levels and take immense pride setting standards as the company expands.
